SANTA ROSA – According to the authorities, 35-year-old Logologoa Taumaloto Tevaseu has been charged with murder for causing an accident on Sonoma County’s Lakeville Highway.
The accident occurred on Sunday around 9:10 p.m. and Tevaseu was taken into custody for the multi-vehicle accident.
Tevaseu was behind the wheel of his 2006 Dodge Ram truck and was travelling in the southbound lanes when he crossed the double yellow and started to illegally pass cars. His car hit a white Toyota Corolla head-on, which was being driven by 21-year-old Paulette Geronimo Quiba who died in the accident.

3 other cars also collided with the Toyota and many individuals sustained injuries in the accident.
Tevaseu was taken into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol. The officer asked for a sample to test his BAC level, but he refused.

He was taken to the Rohnert Park CHP station where a warrant was obtained and his blood sample was taken.
While the cops were investigating the case, 2 CHP officers were standing outside their patrol cars parked across the road with their flashers flashing when an Acura RSX approached them at high rate of speed.

They saved their lives by jumping out of the way and the Acura crashed into a patrol car.
29-year-old Ashley Leah Barnachea was behind the wheel of the Acura, who was taken into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol.
