SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO – 20-year-old Jorge Portillo of Daly City was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after he crashed into two parked cars.
The incident took place Tuesday morning and officers soon arrived at the 600 block of Grand Avenue to investigate a report of a hit-and-run. Police soon caught up with the suspect a couple of blocks away who was driving away from the scene of the crash. The vehicle showed moderate front-end damage and motor oil was leaking.
According to police, Portillo was issued a series of field sobriety tests when he was stopped, which he failed. He was booked into San Mateo County Jail for several charges including driving under the influence of drugs and leaving the scene of a collision.
